Precision
Components
Carrs
have a number of welding techniques to their disposal.
Metal components made to great precision soon become too
valuable to scrap, if one tolerance is wrong on inspection.
Laser welding to steel or aluminium parts can be done so well
that the weld is invisible and the filler is matched to the part.
Casting which have been machined and finished can move under
stress or have a defect that is only found after completion.
Carrs hold approvals for laser welding defects, which is
accepted in a production car. Other
components such as classic car parts that can no longer be sourced
can usually be welded to reclaim the part and keep the engine
original and serviceable.
